Good things happen when people feel connected to nature

Spending time in nature makes us feel happier and live longer - but can it also help us tackle climate change?

A network of community climate action

The insights we learn from your activities will be featured as part of an educational toolkit, that will be shared far and wide to support new nature groups as they start out and build a movement of community climate action across the UK.

Once we’ve visited your project and gathered enough responses from participants, we’ll be able to create a case study of your activities to help you gain a better understanding of the impact of your project and how it links to climate action to share with stakeholders and funders.

You’ll be part of a network across the UK that demonstrates how accessing and engaging with nature can lead to a wider movement of residents acting on climate change.

Research has found that the more connected people feel to nature, the more likely they are to take part in everyday behaviours that can help look after it.

We’re looking to meet and collaborate with projects and activities that connect people with nature.

We want to learn from people who take part in these activities, from gardening workshops and weekly wellbeing walks to landscape art classes, to try and answer the question: Can connecting to nature build a movement of people taking climate action?

What’s involved?

We’re looking to visit nature-based activities and capture stories, learnings, and data in the form of surveys. If you run one of these projects, or take part, we’d love to hear from you!

To get involved, all we need to know is a little bit of info the activities your project runs and when we can come visit. By taking part, we’ll learn about the characteristics that make these projects successful, and how taking part can change our behaviours and attitudes towards the environment.

To get involved, simple fill in the form below and we’ll get in touch.
