Being active, it’s in our nature

33% of the UK’s carbon emissions comes from transport according to the government. How we, and our stuff, get around can make a big difference to our carbon footprint.

Manchester has fewer cars per person than any other UK city outside London, but for those that do drive, 1/3 of journeys we take are less than a mile. By walking, cycling and wheeling more, as well as flying less, sharing our journeys and making use of public transport all helps to save money, reduce our carbon footprint, improve wellbeing, and help protect the health of everyone in Manchester at the same time! Win, win, win!
