Moston Community Facebook Group - Terms and Conditions  

  1. The Project  

  • These terms and conditions relate to your participation in Moston Community Facebook Group (the "Project")

  • The Project will be run by Hubbub Foundation UK (charity No. 1158700) as part of the In Our Nature programme. 

  • The Project will run between from the week commencing 10th July until the 28th August. Please note that these timescales are an estimate and may be subject to change upon notice by us to you. 

  • The Project is open to Moston households who are interested in changing their diet to be better for the environment.

    2. Participant obligations

  • By signing, you agree to receive information and communication about the project from Hubbub Foundation UK via email, Facebook and WhatsApp.  

  • Participants are required to join a Facebook group and take part in challenge activities across seven weeks from the week commencing 10th July 2023.  

  • Participants will be required to treat other members of the Facebook group with respect and comply with a code of conduct while taking part in the Project.   

  • Participants are required to complete two surveys on their knowledge, habits, and behaviours of the food they eat, cook and grow and their attitudes and behaviours. These surveys will take place at the beginning of the project and two months after the project finishes.   

    3. Incentives

  • Participants will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £50 Love2Shop vouchers when they fill in the start and again when they fill in the end survey two months on from when the Project finishes.

  • During Hubbub’s activities on the community Facebook group, participants may receive prizes for completion of individual competitions and challenges to be judged by Hubbub.  

    4. Our Rights to Cancel 

  • We may have to cancel the Project if any act or event beyond our reasonable control occurs, and we are unable to continue.  We will contact you if this happens as soon as is reasonably possible to notify you.  

  • We may also cancel your participation in the project at any time with immediate effect by giving you written notice if you break the terms of this agreement, and you do not correct the situation within a reasonable time of us asking you to do so in writing. In this instance Hubbub UK reserve the right to reissue the participation to another participant.  

    5. Your Right to Cancel  

    If you no longer wish to participate in the Project, you may cancel your participation by emailing us at inournature@hubbub.org.uk 

    6. Use of the Moston Community Facebook Page 

  • As part of the Project, you will be invited to a closed Facebook group (the "Facebook Group"). In the group you will be encouraged to share photos, videos and posts about your experience together with what you are learning from the Project and what you are doing in the Project (the "Participant's Content"). 

  • Whenever you make use of a feature on the Facebook Group that allows you to upload content or make contact with other users you agree that such information will be regarded non-confidential and non-proprietary and we reserve the right to remove or moderate any posts or comments you make in our absolute discretion. The Facebook Group may include information and materials uploaded by other participants of the Facebook Group. This information and these materials have not been verified or approved by us. The views expressed by other users on the Facebook Group do not represent our views or values. 

  • If you wish to complain about content uploaded by other users to the Facebook Group, please email us at inournature@hubbub.org.uk  

    7. Privacy Policy 

    Hubbub will collect personal information of participants including information on their clothing washing and shopping habits, views and attitudes, and personal stories about how the project has changed their life.  This Policy explains how we will use the information of participants.   

    8. Compliance and our main Customer Privacy Policy 

    Hubbub is committed to handling your information in line with data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation. We will keep your data secure and only use it in line with this Policy and our main Privacy Policy (full information, including your legal rights, can be found here). 

    9. Use of images and personal data for promotional purposes 

    Hubbub intends to use participant’s photographs/images, names, and other details, together with their comments or quotes, in hard copy or on-line publications and via other media (which may include television and social media).  However, we will not use any images and other information of yours in public materials without first seeking your agreement. 

    10. Types of personal data collected 

    Hubbub may collect the following personal data about Challenge participants and (if actively shared) their household members: 

    • name and contact details such as email address and telephone number 

    • age, ethnicity, gender, and other biographical information (like who else is in your household) 

    • habits and behaviours, particularly in relation to washing and caring for your clothes 

    • preferences, opinions, attitudes, views, including on clothing and sustainability 

    • feedback from you on the project or other issues, including via surveys or detailed interviews 

    • images and photographs 

    • your stories and experiences as a participant in the Project, including what you have learned and whether and how your habits have changed 

    • your communications with other participants and posts shared via a closed Project Facebook page 

    11. How we use your data 

    Personal data collected will be used for the purposes of the Project, in line with our main Privacy Policy and data protection law. More specifically we will use your information to: 

    • understand the best ways to encourage caring for your clothes  

    • inform future similar Hubbub projects 

    • promote the learnings of this project with relevant stakeholders 

    • generate impact reports 

    We will not use personal data captured through this Project to build up profiles of participants (or their family members) or for the purpose of sending direct marketing to participants. 

    We will not sell your personal data and will not share it with any third parties except our partners and service providers, who will keep it secure and not use if for their own purposes. You can find out more about our privacy policy here.
